We’re Sick of You, Dad
Ci hai rotto, papà
Synopsis
A large apartment block in a residential area of Rome. Several of the families and many of the children living there are the greatest of friends. The younger generation sets up a secret society aimed at punishing the adults who oppress them. Nothing violent, naturally, only practical jokes aimed at their victims’ weaker points. This company is often joined by a boy and his Saint Bernard. There is also a girl in the gang who, although almost an honourary male, nonetheless arouses tender feelings in the hearts of two of the boys who thus become rivals. The jokes and adventures occur during the academic year. Numerous events, some happy, some not, involve our heroes’ families. The story ends when school is out at last and the holidays arrive. The gang breaks up for the summer with the solemn promise to meet again in autumn.
