Synopsis
The film is not a biography of the Saint, but comprises eleven episodes, taken from the Fioretti, in which the spirit of the Franciscan reform reveals itself.
A brief period in the life of the first Franciscan community is illustrated, from the return of St. Francis from Rome to the separation of the disciples, sent to preach the word of God throughout the world; several paintings reproducing frescoes depicting the life of St. Francis serve as an introduction
