My Uncle Jens
Synopsis
Akam, a young literature teacher, lives a comfortable life in Oslo until his estranged uncle from the Iranian part of Kurdistan unexpectedly arrives for a visit. Despite limited space in a shared flat with friends, Akam feels obligated to invite his uncle to stay for a few days. However, as days go by, his uncle, who doesn’t speak the language and makes his presence felt, shows no sign of leaving anytime soon.
Akam begins to suspect there’s more to his uncle’s visit than meets the eye, leading to a mounting tension between them and unexpected events that might have severe consequences.
