Synopsis
Five friends, from good families, pass their days idly between cafes, billiards, hanging around, useless love affairs and vain projects: Fausto, Moraldo, Alberto, Leopoldo and Riccardo.
This is the story of one of the friends in particular who, having to face up to his responsibilities and parenthood, finally realises what a waste of time his life has been up to now.
Recognized as a pivotal work in the director’s artistic evolution, the film has distinct autobiographical elements that mirror important societal changes.
