BUONGIORNO, ELEFANTE! SABU' PRINCIPE LADRO
Synopsis
Garetti, a primary school teacher, with a wife, four children and inadequate salary, struggles with the difficulties of daily life. Nevertheless, he is an eternal optimist. One day he meets an Indian prince who asks him to act as his guide to Rome, and having seen his home and situation, helps him out. The visitor leaves when he becomes Sultan of his country, leaving poor Garetti to struggle on. One day, however, he receives a small elephant from the Sultan as a gift for his children. The unusual guest causes also sorts of problems and is eventually lodged with the nuns, but manages to return to the Garetti household only to find they have been evicted. Eventually the zoo buy the little elephant and Garetti is able to pay his debts and regain his home.
