Synopsis

The aristocratic family of the Counts of Alberti is on the brink of ruin. Their last chance at salvation is to marry off the young Countess Elena to a wealthy local mine owner, Andrea Morandi, a man almost twice her age. Elena agrees to marry Andrea but little by little,she falls in love,really and truly. But her husband has been very stand-offish, since their wedding night.
