Synopsis
Gepy Fuxas, the well-known compare of the TV program “Terrazza Italiana” (Italian Terrace), a squalid tear-jerking talk-show, is needled and put to shame on the air by a young girl in a wheelchair called Arianna. Sacked and abandoned by everybody, a certain Antonazzi, offers him an equally low-brow thought well-paid job. He runs into Arianna by pure chance. After a stormy beginning, the two become “accomplices” and decide to help each other. Gepy has undergone a transformation and so he cannot accept Antonazzi’s offer. He decides to devote himself to Arianna, he wants her to get well. So he decides, pretending he is taking her on holiday, to have her examined by a famous neurosurgeon in Prague. This is where they share their first night together. But next day Arianna must go and see the surgeon, whose diagnosis is disappointingly negative; Arianna is bitterly upset and hurt. Gepy is desperate and full of regret: now it seems that there is no future for them as a couple, but…
